Agafay Desert Lunch & Pool: Prices, Packages & What to Expect
Pack your swimwear alongside your closed shoes. An Agafay Desert lunch and pool outing combines riding on rocky desert tracks with a meal and time at camp, so you’ll want to be ready for both parts of the day.
We offer two options compared here: a €45 budget package with a short camel ride and shared quad session, and an €85 package built around a longer, two-hour quad ride. Both include lunch, scheduled pool access and shared return transport from central Marrakech. Neither is an unrestricted all-day pool pass.
The choice mainly comes down to how much riding you want and whether you’d like a camel ride too. Here’s what each price covers, how the payments work and what to check for your group.
Agafay lunch and pool prices: compare the two packages
| What you’re booking | Budget camel, quad, lunch & pool | Two-hour quad, lunch & pool |
|---|---|---|
| Price per person | €45 | €85 |
| Quad activity | 1 hour; one quad shared by two people | 2 hours; confirm quad allocation |
| Camel ride | 30 minutes | Not included |
| Lunch and pool | Included during the camp visit | Included during the camp visit |
| Shared return transfer | Included from central Marrakech | Included from central Marrakech |
| Approximate total duration | 5–6 hours | 6 hours |
| Online deposit | €45 per booking | €50 per booking |
Both options require a minimum of two participants. The deposit is per booking, not per person, and it comes off the total. You pay the remaining balance in cash on arrival.
For two people on the budget outing, the total is €90: €45 online and €45 cash. For two on the longer quad outing, it’s €170: €50 online and €120 cash. There’s no extra deposit fee to add to either calculation.
Private return transport costs €80 extra per booking on either option. Two guests choosing the €85 package with private transport therefore pay €250 altogether: €50 online and €200 cash. The private transfer doesn’t make the riding activities or camp facilities exclusive to your group.
Allow separately for drinks with lunch, personal purchases and optional tips. An individual-quad upgrade on the budget tour, if available and agreed in advance, also costs extra. Review the final total and current booking terms before paying.
What happens during the day?
After pickup in Marrakech, you travel to the activity base, meet the guides and prepare for the ride. There’s a safety briefing before the quad activity, with equipment provided. You don’t need previous quad experience, but you do need to listen to the guide, follow the route and leave a sensible distance between riders.
Agafay has dry hills, dusty tracks and uneven rocky ground. If you’re imagining high Sahara sand dunes, this is a different landscape. Keep your phone secure while riding and take photographs at the stops the guide says are safe.
On the budget tour, the quad session lasts one hour with one quad for two people. It isn’t an hour of driving each. The guide explains the arrangement and any driver changes; only eligible participants can drive. If your group has an odd number of people, check the allocation before booking.
The €85 option gives you a two-hour guided quad activity. Don’t assume that the participant count means a separate quad for everyone: confirm the allocation with us if that matters to your choice. This option has no camel ride; the budget outing includes a guided 30-minute camel ride.
Lunch and pool time follow at camp, although the exact activity order can vary. Allow roughly five to six hours for the budget outing and six hours for the longer quad package, including transport and preparation. Leave some room in your afternoon plans rather than relying on a precise return time.

Lunch at the desert camp
Lunch is included in both packages. The two-hour quad option includes a Moroccan meal, and the budget outing also includes lunch at the desert camp. Ask about the menu for your date if a particular dish matters to you. We’d rather confirm that than have you choose a trip based on a meal in a photograph.
Tell us about vegetarian requests and allergies before paying, so the team can confirm what can be accommodated. Drinks ordered with lunch are extra. The budget package’s bottled water during activities, and the longer package’s tea and refreshments during the experience, don’t mean unlimited drinks at the table.

What pool access actually covers
Bring swimwear and your own towel. Pool access fits into the scheduled camp visit, with time to swim or relax before the return transfer. It’s worth checking this distinction when comparing an Agafay lunch and pool package with a standalone day pass: these outings also include the riding activities and their travel time.
If swimming is the main reason you’re coming, confirm pool availability for your date before reserving. Weather, maintenance and camp operations can affect access. A heated pool and exclusive use aren’t guaranteed, and a private car won’t change that. Ask about the exact camp too if you have a particular venue in mind.
Pickup from Marrakech and what to bring
Both booking forms list a 9 am departure. Use the exact time and meeting place confirmed for your reservation, and give us your hotel or riad name plus a reachable telephone number when you book.
Shared transport covers central Marrakech. For a riad in the Medina, you may need to walk to a nearby parking area or another point the vehicle can reach. Check the walking route beforehand if you’re unfamiliar with the neighbourhood. Accommodation outside the shared pickup area needs advance confirmation and may require a different arrangement.
For the ride, wear closed shoes and comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dusty. Add swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for camp. A warmer layer is useful during cooler months, and a secure bag helps keep your phone and belongings together as you move between activities.
Keep your booking details handy and bring the cash balance shown in your confirmation, plus money for drinks or personal spending. You’ll be out for several hours, so avoid planning around a tight connection immediately after the advertised return.
Coming with children or a mixed group
Please send us children’s ages before you reserve. Quad drivers must be at least 16; younger travellers’ passenger eligibility and suitable arrangements need confirmation. Being included in a booking doesn’t automatically mean a child can drive, ride as a passenger or join every activity.
The €85 quad, lunch and pool booking offers a free-under-five option, with a selector for zero, one or two young children. Of the two packages compared here, this free-child option applies to the €85 outing, not the €45 budget tour. Please mention each child’s exact age in the message field. Tell us about the whole group so we can confirm the price, transport and participation details rather than treating an online headcount as approval to ride.
Children must stay under their accompanying adults’ supervision around the pool. If someone has mobility concerns, is unsure about mounting a camel or isn’t comfortable with quad riding, explain that before payment. We can check the practical arrangements for your group without assuming everyone will take part in the same way.
A few questions before you book
Can we book just lunch and pool, without riding?
The two packages compared here include riding activities. If you only want lunch and swimming, ask us about your date before paying; don’t assume these bookings convert into a pool-only day pass or that skipping a ride changes the price.
Does the budget package include our own quad each?
No. It includes one quad shared by two people for a one-hour session. Ask in advance about an individual quad and any extra charge. An upgrade shouldn’t be assumed available on arrival.
Can one person book?
Both packages have a two-participant minimum. Contact us if you’re travelling alone rather than entering a second participant who won’t be joining.
Which Agafay lunch and pool outing suits you?
For shorter activities, a camel ride and a lower price, choose the €45 budget camel, shared quad, lunch and pool tour. If you’d rather spend longer on the quad trails and don’t need a camel ride, compare the €85 two-hour quad biking, lunch and pool tour.
Check your date, participant details and transfer option on the package page before paying the deposit. For children, dietary needs or a particular pool or quad arrangement, contact our team to get those details confirmed first. Then you’ll know what you’ve booked and what remains to pay.
